No. Shur Rescue is a privately owned nonprofit animal sanctuary that operates on private funding, community donations, fundraisers and adoption fees. The animal shelter does not receive any local, state or federal funding. Donations are appreciated.
Shur Rescue requests a $75 adoption fee. Cat adoption fees cover the cat’s vaccinations and spay/neuter surgeries. Adopt a furry friend today! Fill out an application to get started.
Shur Rescue offers many opportunities to help our animal sanctuary care for our domestic and feral cats. Please consider making a monetary donation or donate an item on our wish list.

Shur Rescue partners with veterinarians to provide the best medical care possible no matter the cost. When cats and kittens arrive at the animal shelter Shur Rescue evaluates them. The cats are vaccinated, spayed or neutered and given medicine and follow-up veterinary care as required. Check out the cats available for adoption.
